How we check schedules
Every city page shows the date we checked it and the week it covers.
| City | Checked | Classes for |
|---|---|---|
| Chicago | November 6, 2026 | Nov 6–Nov 12 |
| Los Angeles | November 6, 2026 | Nov 6–Nov 12 |
| Sydney | November 6, 2026 | Nov 7–Nov 13 |
What we do
- We open each studio's own schedule, booking page or printed schedule.
- We record the date, time, teacher, length and class name.
- We take prices from the studio's own pricing page.
- We leave out cancelled classes and classes we could not confirm.
What we include
Adult and teen-and-adult classes in street and pop dance styles, such as hip hop, house, popping, locking, waacking, breaking, krump, vogue, heels, K-pop, jazz funk and choreography, that can be taken without joining a full course.
What we leave out
- Youth-only classes
- Ballroom, Latin, ballet and other styles outside this site's focus
- Cardio fitness classes
- Courses that cannot be taken one class at a time
Studios we checked but did not list
- Hyde Park School of Dance, Chicago: its 2026–27 adult class table has no hip hop. Its hip hop and breaking classes are youth or by-permission classes.
What this does not promise
We do not cover every studio in any city. Teachers and times can change after we check, and we have not necessarily taken these classes ourselves. Levels come from class names and studio descriptions, and classes without a named level are listed as open unless the studio says otherwise. Some studios only publish a weekly or term schedule, so those times do not come from a dated calendar. Each city page explains how it applies levels.
Neighborhoods and distance
Neighborhood names come from the studio's own name or description where it gives one, and otherwise from map data. Neighborhood borders are informal, so some people may use a different name. Distances are straight lines, not travel routes. Location data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
